Study No.3 Timeline

This screening ensured that participants were compatible with the trial, consent and want to try Snitch, and fit our test demographic.

This survey establishes a baseline for participants' screen time habits, helping us measure Snitch’s impact and tailor features to users.

We onboarded test groups in person and online, ensuring they all understood the features before starting their trial.

At check-ins we collected weekly screen time data over three weeks, resolved software issues, and rewarded top users (e.g free pottery sessions) to test incentivisation.

We conducted 18 interviews to gain insights into user experiences, uncovering behavioural patterns, motivations, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. We also closely tested key assumptions with these users.

Screen time stats allowed us to understand “hours saved” away from bad apps and interaction data from group chat messaging helped to map retention patterns, assess feature engagement (e.g., key usage), and test assumptions.
